Program Directors
Kendra Napier holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Southern California and brings her expertise to her fifth-grade classroom at Chaparral Elementary School, where she was recognized in 2022 with LVUSD’s Distinguished Educator Award.
In addition to her classroom work, Kendra is committed to developing future educators. She partners with several local universities to mentor and train student teachers, providing guidance grounded in real-world practice and instructional excellence.
For the past four years, Kendra has also led Head Start Set Apart, where she has designed engaging, hands-on enrichment programs, built strong partnerships with school communities, and cultivated a highly qualified, mission-driven instructional team.
Outside of her professional roles, Kendra enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Aspen and Niala. She loves traveling, staying active, and exploring new experiences.

Kim Gerber is a veteran educator in the Las Virgenes School District with a Master’s degree in Education. She brings extensive experience across multiple grade levels and school sites, combining her background as a certified VEX Robotics instructor and former reading specialist with a passion for whole-child instruction and social–emotional learning.
For the past four years, Kim has successfully led a highly regarded educational enrichment company, overseeing programming, curriculum development, staff training, and operations. She has also facilitated literacy-focused book clubs for the past eight years, fostering students’ love of reading while supporting their academic growth and personal development.
Outside the classroom, Kim is a proud mom to twin 22-year-old sons and a former Chaparral parent. She enjoys cooking, reading, pickleball, Dodgers baseball and spending time with her family and dogs Olive, Reggie and Ozzy. Through her teaching and leadership, Kim has demonstrated dedication to inspiring curiosity, cultivating confidence, and fostering a lifelong love of learning in every student.
